CES HeliCam is a police helicopter camera for FiveM that does more than look down. You get free-look and zoom, night and thermal vision, vehicle lock and a three-stage tracking light that other players can see. Then it connects the helicopter to your ground units: it narrates the pursuit in chat, drops target marks on their maps, lets officers call for light with a command, and gives the pilot a bearing arrow to the target. Standalone: no framework, no database, no inventory.

A helicopter camera is only useful if the people on the ground know what it sees. CES HeliCam turns what the operator is looking at into information your whole unit gets, without the operator typing or talking.

What you get

  • Free-look camera: smooth, steady aiming. Mouse sensitivity scales with zoom, so a tight shot stays steady.
  • Night and thermal vision: cycle normal, night and thermal on the right mouse button.
  • Vehicle lock: aim and press Space. The camera follows the vehicle for you, with aim assist and a target card showing model, colour, plate, speed, heading, range and road.
  • Three-stage tracking light: small, medium, large, off. Follows the locked vehicle, or your crosshair. Nearby players see the beam too.
  • Auto callouts: while a target is locked, on-duty units get a chat line such as "AIR-1: Eyes on a white Karin Sultan, heading west on Alta St near Hawick Ave, 44 mph", plus updates, stopped, moving again and lost visual calls. The server builds the text and rate-limits it, so it cannot be spammed.
  • Target marks: one key puts a flashing blip with a search radius on every unit's map. It follows the locked vehicle and clears on its own.
  • Light requests: a ground officer types /lightme. The nearest open camera gets an accept / decline prompt, and accepting points the camera and the light at the officer.
  • Pilot arrow: the pilot sees a bearing and distance to the operator's locked target, so a pursuit can be flown without calling directions.
  • Live offset tuner: admins nudge the camera and light position for any helicopter in game, press save, and every player gets the new values. Add-on helicopters welcome.
  • Permissions your way: standard ACE (cheli.use, cheli.unit, cheli.admin), or plug in your own job and duty check.
  • For developers: server events and exports, and a hook that receives every callout, ready for a radio or CAD script.
  • Everything configurable: controls, light stages, zoom range, speeds, units (mph or km/h), text and timings, all in one commented config.

Simple to run

  • Press E or type /helicam in a configured helicopter above the minimum height. The key is rebindable.
  • Three ACE lines in server.cfg set up who can use the camera, who gets callouts and who can tune.
  • Add your helicopter models to the config and fine-tune their camera position in game.
  • Requires OneSync. Nothing else.

Good to know before you buy

  • Other players do not see the camera picture because FiveM only renders a script camera for its owner. Units get the callouts, marks and the light beam instead.
  • Callouts go to chat and notifications. There is no built-in radio or CAD integration yet; a hook and an event are provided for developers.
  • Thermal colour presets (white hot, black hot, and so on) appear only on server builds that expose both see-through colour natives. On other builds, thermal uses GTA's default look and the preset key is hidden automatically.
  • Gallery images 1 to 4, 6 and 8 and the shop image are real in-game captures (FPS counter and FiveM watermark removed). Images 5 and 7 show the real camera interface over a stylised backdrop; the map panel is an illustration of what units see.
